01

Problem

Needed hands-on, inspectable proof of Kubernetes/cloud-native depth beyond tutorial-level Docker usage.

02

Context

A set of learning-lab-grade deployments, not a single production system with real user traffic.

03

Role & Ownership

Built and deployed each lab: manifests, StatefulSets, persistent storage, and monitoring configuration.

SCOPE CLARIFICATION

This is a learning-lab-grade infrastructure bundle, not a production platform with real user traffic. The four labs demonstrate containerisation, Kubernetes deployment patterns, stateful services, and GKE-hosted cloud monitoring — real and technically deep, but scoped as learning deployments.

SYSTEM DESIGN

Architecture

Each lab is deployed with Docker images pushed to DockerHub and run on GKE, using StatefulSets and Persistent Volume Claims for stateful workloads — notably the MongoDB replica set with headless services and failover testing — with Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring wired in.

SCOPE NOTE

Presented as a bundle of four labs rather than one production system.

CAPABILITY PROOF

What this proves

Genuine hands-on Kubernetes/cloud-native depth — concrete, inspectable manifests and failover testing supporting the cloud third of Musa's positioning.
